New Delhi, Sept 26 (KNN) In a bid to attract investments between the two countries, the National Capital is gearing up for the upcoming India-Afghanistan Trade expo scheduled for next week.  The Afghanistan delegation comprising of over 200 businessmen from the country led by Afghanistan’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Abdullah Abdullah will be participating in the expo.

Key focus of the expo will be to explore ways through which both government as well as private organizations can come closer In terms of investments and business opportunities between the two countries.

Also carpet sector is likely to be one of the important areas that the two countries will explore for cooperation, expanding the reach in different parts of the country.

Afghanistan is also expected to propose a permanent centre for the Afghani products in the country.

The two-daylong event is scheduled on 27^th and 28^th of this month.

The India-Afghanistan trade expo is an initiative by Embassy of the United States in Afghanistan, aiming at strengthening Afghanistan’s economy through better relations with its neighbours. (KNN/ DA)
