Nitin Gadkari to represent India at the opening of the new Suez Canal in Egypt

New Delhi, Aug 3 (KNN) The Union Minister of Road Transport & Highways and Shipping Nitin Gadkari will represent India at the opening of the new Suez Canal in Egypt on August 6, 2015 

The President of the Arab Republic of Egypt Abdel Fattah Al Sisi had invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi to participate in the inauguration ceremony of the opening of the new Suez Canal. 

In view of India’s traditionally warm and friendly ties with Egypt and to re-enforce New Delhi’s continued high-level engagement and political commitment to Egypt under Al Sisi Government, Prime Minister Modi has nominated Gadkari to represent India at the event, Ministry of Road Transport & Highways today said in a statement.
