NSIC to take MSME delegation to Taiwan International Trade Fair

Mysore, Sept 4 (KNN) National Small Industries Corporation under Ministry of MSME is taking a business delegation of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) from India to participate in Taiwan International Trade Fair scheduled from September 23 to 25, 2015.

“The visit is subject to approval of Ministry of MSME. The objective of the visit is to enhance technical and business alliances among the enterprises of India and those of Taiwan and promote ‘Make in India’,” said a release from the Mysore Industries Association (MIA).

One-on-one business meetings between Indian entrepreneurs and entrepreneurs from Taiwan, based on the areas of interest of visiting Indian enterprises will be held. Industrial visits to give overview of manufacturing environment in Taiwan has also been proposed by India Taipei Association.

During the visit, a seminar on ‘Make in India’ will also be organised at Taichung, Taiwan on September 24, 2015 with focus on presenting manufacturing capabilities in machine tools, light engineering and other industrial sectors. The manufacturing enterprises policy makers from Taiwan besides Indian enterprises will participate in the seminar.

Meanwhile, MIA is organising an awareness programme on functioning of Regional Micro and Small Enterprises Facilitation Council and Delayed Payment Act 2006 on September 9 at Mysore Industries Association Hall in Mysore.

The Facilitation Council will assist MSEs in the recovery of their dues from medium and large industries, PSUs, state and central government departments towards the supplies made to them which is affecting the working capital requirement and eventually resulting in sickness and closure of these small scale industries.

The programme will be inaugurated by Karnataka Revenue Minister and Mysore District In charge Minister Srinivas Prasad and Presided by MLA Vasu.

As per the government order, the Regional Micro and Small Enterprises Facilitation Council will be headed by Regional Commissioner of Mysore Region, and the other members of the Council are Lead Bank Manager SBM, Deputy General Manager of Karnataka State Finance Corporation and President of Mysore Industries Association and the Joint Director of District Industries Centre will be the Member Secretary.  (KNN Bureau)
