PM Modi and South Korean President pledge collaboration in Trade, Investment & Defence at G7
New Delhi, May 20 (KNN) During the bilateral talks, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and South Korean President Yoon Suk agreed to enhance collaboration in trade, investment, IT hardware manufacturing, and defence.
They also discussed India's G20 presidency and South Korea's Indo-Pacific strategy, Ministry of External Affairs said in a tweet.
The two leaders met on the sidelines of the summit of the Group of Seven (G7) advanced economies in Hiroshima.
Notably, the two countries will celebrate 50 years of diplomatic relations this year. They agreed to deepen cooperation in areas of trade and investment, high technology, IT hardware manufacturing, defence, semiconductor, and culture, the ministry said.
Modi arrived in Hiroshima on May 19 to attend three sessions at the G7 summit following an invitation by Japanese counterpart Fumio Kishida. (KNN Bureau)
