PM Modi, Iceland PM Kristrún Frostadóttir Discuss Trade, Energy & Arctic Cooperation in Oslo
New Delhi, May 20 (KNN) Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister of Iceland Kristrún Frostadóttir in Oslo on the sidelines of the 3rd India-Nordic Summit.
This was the first meeting between the two leaders since Prime Minister Frostadóttir assumed office. The two leaders discussed strengthening bilateral ties, particularly in the context of the India-European Free Trade Association (EFTA) Trade and Economic Partnership Agreement (TEPA).
Both sides said the agreement would create opportunities for expanding cooperation in trade, investment and manufacturing.
The leaders also reviewed cooperation in geothermal energy, fisheries, innovative technologies, creative economy, culture, tourism, mobility and people-to-people exchanges. Discussions were also held on expanding cooperation in Arctic research.
Prime Minister Modi invited Prime Minister Frostadóttir to visit India at a mutually convenient time.
