Scope for Indian SMEs for expanding their business in Canada

Lucknow, Mar 21 (KNN) In a recently held meeting between Canada High Commission officials and Indian Industries Association (IIA), the officials from Canadian High Commission persuaded Indian investors to do business in Canada because of the ease of doing business environment and favourable geographical location.

“Stable economy, easy access to connect or global gateway, favourable government policies, low corporate taxes, good research facilities and education, scope for diversified industries setup, etc all this can attract an entrepreneur to start or expand his business,” officials from High Commission of Canada said .

The officials showed their keen interest to join hands with Indian industries Association to showcase the scope of business in Canada for the industrialist in Uttar Pradesh.

Grant Winton, International Relations, Govt. of Alberta, Jens Michael Schaal, Counsellor (Commercial – Ontario), Robert McCubbing, Deputy Program Manager, India Trade Program, were the main officials from High Commission of Canada in India who widened entrepreneurs mind to think about business in Canada apart from Unites States in North America.

“Canada was defined as ‘easiest place to do business’ because of many factors like best banking system, diversified and trustworthy economy, competitive and innovative environment that brings profitability to business in Canada,” they said.

Canada is close to US, people with business ideas can also have privileged access to US Market, Mexican Market and many other larger markets, they added.

Anil Gupta, Past President, IIA gave introduction about SMEs in India and especially in UP stating that SMEs are keen investors for such places where they can see the convincing reasons to expand their business.

President IIA Manish Goel said that SMEs in UP see this programme as an opportunity for their business expansion.

“India being the emerging economy globally and Canada with the economy in good shape made them both to join hands for doing business. The countries like Alberta which has 3rd largest reserves of oil and gas, good scope for agriculture and food sector was also introduced to the entrepreneurs in the programme today,” IIA said in a statement.

The overall programme proved to provide all important insights about Canada and scope for expanding business thereof for the entrepreneurs of UP, the press statement added. (KNN Bureau)
