'The India Show' to be held in Pakistan

Lahore, Jan 15 (KNN)  In order to enhance trade between the two nations resulting in new business tie ups and ventures, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry is organising the second edition of 'The India Show' in Pakistan.

The exhibition is scheduled to be held from February-14 to 16, 2014 at Lahore International Expo Centre.

The three day event will focus on sectors like active pharmaceutical ingredients, agriculture machinery, automobile components, cement, chemicals, consumer durables, jewellery, hospitals, infrastructure, plastic technology, steel, stones, textiles and many more.

The show is aimed at boosting bilateral trade and investment between the two countries with fresh vigour, said an official statement.

It offers a gateway to a huge potential market in the region; and provides a platform for exploration of investment and joint-venture opportunities and excellent networking opportunities with business counterparts and others.

The mandate of the Department of Commerce is regulation, development and promotion of India's international trade and commerce through formulation of appropriate international trade and commercial policy and implementation of the various provisions thereof.

The basic role of the department is to facilitate the creation of an enabling environment and infrastructure for accelerated growth of international trade. (KNN/ST)
