New Delhi, Oct 30 (KNN)  To facilitate British and Indian small and medium units to connect and to promote business opportunities amongst them, the annual flagship India UK SME Business Meet 2013 will be held in London next month.

The 4th India-UK SME Business Meet is scheduled to be held on November 18-19.

Organised by the High Commission of India, together with the UK India Business Council, the Confederation of Indian Industry, the National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC), the SME Chamber of India and other leading Indian trade bodies, the meet will see a visiting delegation of 50 Indian SMEs.

“The objective is to connect British and Indian SMEs, and the UK India Business Centre and UK Trade and Investment will bring together their UK business community to engage with the Indian visitors,” said a press note.

The event will provide a platform for networking B2B sessions between Indian and UK SMEs and will have highly interactive breakout sessions on how to successfully do business in the UK. The outcome of the meet will be stronger commercial ties between the SMEs of our two countries.

The overarching objectives of the sessions are to brief the Indian delegates on the opportunities in the UK and how to access them, providing usable information for the rest of their visit and beyond; and at the same time brief UK companies on the opportunities in India and how to access them, providing usable information.

In essence, they would highlight the scope for collaboration – buying, selling, partnering while helping UK and Indian businesses learn how to do business together, and highlighting UK SME success stories in India.  (KNN/ES)
