UK offers technology, skill to India for food processing

New Delhi, Jun 18 (KNN)  UK today offered to help India in building skill and technology for  reducing wastages of food by way of food processing. This was highlighted by James Bevan, UK High Commissioner to India when he called on Minister Food Processing Industries Harsimrat Kaur Badal here.

Both shared with each other various measures that India shall adopt to take forward the food processing industries to the next level.

UK High Commissioner listed out certain priorities of his government in supporting food processing initiative in India.  Bevan informed Badal that soon a business delegation shall also be coming for B2B cooperation and UK could help India in arresting food wastage and skill development.  Badal welcomed the cooperation by the British and stated that she would look forward to stronger ties between the two countries 

The minister said that to revolutionize food processing  at farm level, India has to take a quantum leap and adopt most practical model at policy level. (KNN Bureau)
