UN Centre for Trade Facilitation & Electronic Business Forum to begin on Oct-27

New Delhi, Oct 24 (KNN)  With a view to improving the ability of business, trade and administrative organizations to exchange products and relevant services effectively, the United Nations Centre for trade facilitation and electronic business forum (UN/CEFACT) will be held here.
 
Organised by FICCI and the Department of Electronics and Information Technology, Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Government of India, UN/CEFACT will be held here from October-27 to 31. 
 
Union Minister for Communications and Information Technology and Law and Justice, Ravi Shankar Prasad will inaugurate the event, an official release said.
 
The UN/CEFACT Forum would focus on five main program development areas (PDA), namely methodology and technology, travel and tourism, agriculture, regulatory, supply chain and international trade procedure.
 
Global standardization, recommendations and best practices for trade facilitation and secure electronic business are the core objectives of UN/CEFACT.
 
It supports activities dedicated to improving the ability of business, trade and administrative organizations, from developed, developing and transitional economies, to exchange products and relevant services effectively.
 
Its principal focus is on facilitating national and international transactions, through the simplification and harmonization of processes, procedures and information flows and contributes to the growth of global commerce.  (KNN/ES)
