USIIC to lead Indian delegation from Gujarat to US in June; to attend Summit to be addressed by President Obama

Ahmedabad, May 30 (KNN) The United States – India Importers Council (USIIC) is leading an 18 member trade and investment delegation from Gujarat to USA from June 18 to 23, 2016. The delegation would also attend the Select USA Investment Summit on June 20, which would be addressed by US President Barack Obama.

The delegation would go to Washington D.C., New York and New Jersey.

USIIC works in India and USA to promote technology transfer, joint ventures, investment, franchising and trade between USA and India. It is headquartered in Mumbai with Chapters in New Jersey, Ahmedabad and Hyderabad. 

The objective of the delegation is to attend Select USA which is a project of U.S. Department of Commerce where the states of USA come and present their trade and investment opportunities and benefits to 50+ country delegations which come from all over the world to the three day event. USIIC is taking the delegation from Gujarat.

It provides an unparalleled opportunity to bring together companies from all over the world, economic development organizations from every corner of the nation, others working to facilitate trade and investment in the United States, and high-level government officials. President Barack Obama will be delivering the Key note address at the event,” Jagat Shah, Vice Chairman, USIIC, India said in a press note.

The sectors represented by the Gujarat delegates  are infrastructure, mining, logistics, agri business, plastics and rubber, industrial and medical gases, pharmaceuticals, automotive, food processing, jewellery, water tanks, PVC doors, moulded furniture, textiles, PCB mfg, information technology, digital technologies, Financial services, management consulting and IPR services.

The delegation will also be interacting with - Director of the national economic council of The White House; Managing Director of McKinsey & Co; President of ABB; CEO of National retail federation, USA; President, IKEA – USA and others. (KNN Bureau)
