Uzbekistan invites Indian pharma industries to come and Make in Uzbek

New Delhi, Nov 27 (KNN) In a bid to attract investments from India, Uzbekistan urged the Indian pharma industry comprising of a fair share of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to utilize the potential Uzbekistan has got to offer.

Uzbekistan embassy in New Delhi in a press statement made the following remarks.

The statement said that seven new Free Economic Zones in pharmacy have been established in Uzbekistan and Indian businesses can avail the different incentives that is being offered in these zones.  Incentives for Indian businesses could include exemption of all taxes as well as custom duties for the initial years of operations, the release added.

The incentivised investment program is being rolled out to facilitate cooperation in the pharmaceutical industry among the two countries.

Uzbekistan having a Free Trade Agreements with CIS countries, Georgia and Ukraine, Uzbekistan could jointly enter the dynamically growing market of Central Asia and Afghanistan, the release informed.

Also the Embassy recently organized an Uzbek-Indian Business Forum in an attempt to inform the Indian business community of the opportunities available in Uzbekistan.

During the event, representatives of Indian business were given information on the current economic situation in Uzbekistan, as well as opportunities of doing business. (KNN/DA)
