EUI partners with CUTS Int'l to Promote Research in Social Sciences and Humanities

New Delhi, Feb 24 (KNN) CUTS International, a leading non-profit think-and action-tank has signed a Partnership Agreement with European University Institute (EUI), to collaborate mainly in the areas of studies and research common to both institutions.

As per the agreement, CUTS International and EUI will promote and cooperate in each other’s research, organise joint events including high-level policy dialogues and engage with stakeholders. Under this partnership, EUI and CUTS International will organise training courses, promote staff visits.

Pradeep S. Mehta, Secretary General, CUTS International said, "We are delighted to collaborate with EUI to improve research and evidence based policy dialogues. I am confident that this collaboration will benefit a large number of stakeholders in the near future as well as in the long term.”  

“The EUI is very pleased to establish the partnership with CUTS International, a prominent advocate for sustainable development and a rules-based multilateral order. The EUI and CUTS International have the shared ambition of contributing ideas to improve global economic governance. We look forward to a very fruitful collaboration,” said Speaking on the occasion, Bernard Hoekman, Dean of External Relations at the EUI.

EUI is an international organisation that operates in higher education and research in the field of social sciences. The Institute has twenty-three Member States, and hosts an international community of more than 1,100 members.

CUTS International, with its vision for ‘Consumer Sovereignty’ in the framework of social justice, economic equity and environmental balance, within and across borders has established itself as a leading southern voice for pro-development, pro-equity public policy reforms, particularly in the Bay of Bengal region and in Sub-Saharan Africa.
