Andhra Pradesh to encourage competitiveness in food processing

Hyderabad, Nov 26 (KNN)  In an effort to modernise the food industry in the state, the Federation of Andhra Pradesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FAPCCI) is organising a state level seminar on 'Enhancing competitiveness of agro produce and food processing under changing scenario.'

The main objective of the seminar to be held on November-28 is to bring together experts onto a platform and deliberate on many issues related to various aspects of agro and food processing.

It will focus on sensitisation of government schemes and the departmental assistance and patronage available to the activities related to agro and food processing industry.

The one day programme will highlight topic such as agro/horti/livestocks processing business opportunities, national food processing and food security, poor harvest management and value addition through entrepreneurship development, new technologies available for food packaging and preservation, modernization of infrastructure of cold storage and financial assistance.

Participants of the seminar are representatives of agro produce and food processing industries, members of regulatory authorities and the policy makers. (KNN/ST)
