FICCI and CIBIL curate MSME program for credit management awareness

New Delhi, June 16 (KNN) The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce (FICCI) and TransUnion CIBIL is jointly organising the "TU CIBIL - FICCI MSME Consumer Education Program” on June 27.

The aim of the program is to support MSMEs in gaining awareness of credit management, CIBIL Rank, and commercial credit information.

It will empower MSMEs with knowledge on how to build a good credit history and CIBIL Rank to avail easier and faster access to finance.

It will also educate customers on the importance of maintaining a good credit history for availing easier, faster and cheaper access to credit.

TransUnion CIBIL analysed the impact of ECLGS scheme on the flow of credit and changes in borrower behaviour.

The findings of the study suggest that the scheme has been successful in helping MSMEs navigate through the covid-induced crisis.

It highlights that ECLGS scheme has benefited the very MSMEs the most. Similarly, sectors like retail trade, wholesale trader, transport, professional services, tourism, hotels & restaurants that were more severely impacted by COVID-19 have received the majority of the funds.
