MP MSME Department Aims To Establish 100-Hectare Land Bank For Industrial Development

Bhopal, Jul 1 (KNN) The Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Department of Madhya Pradesh has announced plans to create a land bank of at least 100 hectares across the state.

This initiative aims to attract investment from industries within the state and neighbouring regions.

Currently, the department has minimal land holdings. Officials have begun identifying potential areas for development into industrial zones, encompassing both developed and undeveloped land.

Dr. Navneet Mohan Kothari, MSME Commissioner, stated, "We have initiated the process of identifying land in various districts for small-scale industries. Our target is to establish a land bank of approximately 100 hectares in Madhya Pradesh by 2024."

The department's ambitious plan includes allocating around 1,000 plots to industries in the coming year.

Regional MSME offices have been instructed to scout for suitable land in their respective districts to facilitate this expansion.

"Given the investment potential, we anticipate a positive response from industries," Dr. Kothari added.

The focus will be on developing land banks across the state, with particular emphasis on western and eastern Madhya Pradesh, where industrial demand is reportedly high.

In addition to land acquisition, the MSME department plans to progress with pending cluster development projects.

The toy cluster in Budhni is expected to become operational within two to three months, pending final electrification work.

This initiative represents a significant step in the state's efforts to boost industrial growth and attract investment in the MSME sector.
