50,000 MSMEs to shut operations in Coimbatore on 20 Dec to protest against rising raw material prices
Coimbatore, 13 Dec (KNN) As per several media reports, for about 50,000 MSMEs will be observing one-day closure of industries on 20th December, 2021 in the Coimbatore district of Tamil Nadu.
The aim of the protest is to call the Central government on issues concerning MSMEs and mainly continuous increase of raw material prices.
It will see participation and support from All the industry-associations such as the Coimbatore District Small Industries Association, Southern India Engineering and Manufacturers Association, and Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry-Coimbatore (ICCIC).
According to sources, a one-hour demonstration will take place in front of the district Collectorates across the country.
The associations had decided that its time government sees the strength of MSMEs in the country and draw the attention of the government to the hardship being faced by the MSME sector.
It was the All India Council of Associations of MSMEs that called for the protest.
