Bengaluru based MSME to manufacture parts of Boeing

Bengaluru, Aug 6 (KNN) A major global Aerospace Company Boeing has awarded a contract to Bengaluru based Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME) CIM Tools Pvt Ltd to manufacture the complex titanium machined parts and aluminium assemblies for the 787 Dreamliner and 737 airplanes.

Both the companies have signed the contract here in a ceremony in Bengaluru.

As per the contract, CIM Tools will supply over 57,000 complex titanium machined parts, aluminium details and assemblies for Boeing 787 and 737 airplanes in coming years, the company said in a statement.

The new agreement was reached through close collaboration between Boeing and CIM Tools. CIM Tools is one of the MSME in India, which Boeing is directly working with.

Pratyush Kumar, President, Boeing India said that this is in line with Boeing’s strategy in India to develop an indigenous aerospace and defense ecosystem to further support the ‘Make in India’ initiative,

“This is yet another step in fulfilling our commitment in the creation of a globally competitive aerospace supply chain in India that delivers to stringent global standards,” he said.

CIM Tools Private, which has been focusing on aerospace component manufacturing, has acquired 4-acres of land at Special Economic Zone near Bengaluru Airport. It is building a new manufacturing facility spread over 150,000 square feet of area to meet Boeing’s requirements, which will be ready later this month, the statement said. (KNN Bureau)
