'District Udyam Samaagam' district wise market access events to be organized by DC MSME

New Delhi, Nov 26 (KNN) The Office of the Development commissioner (DC) under the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MoMSME) is organizing district wise market access events to be called as "District Udyam Samaagam" in December and January.

The events will be organized by all the field organizations of DC office along with collaborative efforts of NSIC, KVIC, Coir Board and State government departments aiming towards development of the MSMEs.

The themes of District Udyam Samaagams shall focus on the development of focus sectors both in services and manufacturing, agro enterprises and other micro enterprises predominant in those districts.

It has been decided to organize 10 mega events at 100 district level events throughout the country.

Under this, the Development Institute (DI) will collaborate with other Dis which also have similar industries in their areas of jurisdiction.

For instance, DI Agra shall ensure that other districts of other states where leather is a predominant industry also participates in their district samaagam.

Every Samaagam shall be 2-3 days event which will have sessions like Knowledge services, access to financial services and enterprise infrastructure to develop facilities like plug and play, flatted factory, logistics, mobility, warehousing and business travels.

Sessions will also include Market access, Technology & innovation, including Green technologies to develop green industrial estates, green MSMEs and many more.

Event will also have a component of trade fair, where all the units from the area will participate. The products of the MSEs should preferably be unique, innovative, eco-friendly, art based.

New potential products with innovative intent with relevance to local resources may also be considered.

State government organizations will be mobilized to make it an entire government effort rather than an event by MSME.

The fair will have both B2B and B2C components, to provide a platform for MSEs for sourcing, arranging buyer-seller meets, business interactions, technology transfer, marketing access etc.
