Govt has taken several measures for MSMEs in the wake of demonetization: MoS MSME

New Delhi, Feb 8 (KNN) In the wake of demonetization, government has taken several steps for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), Minister of State for MSME Haribhai Parthibhai Chaudhary informed Parliament.

The coverage of the loans covered under the Credit Guarantee Scheme for MSEs implemented by CGTMSE was increased from Rs. 1 crore to Rs. 2 crore.

Credit Guarantee Fund Trust for Micro and Small Enterprises (CGTMSE) has issued a circular to all its Member Lending Institutions (MLIs) in this regard.

The Credit Guarantee scheme has also been extended for loans given to MSMEs by NBFCs. A circular in this regard has already been issued by CGTMSE

Department of Financial Services (DFS) has issued an advisory to Banks regarding raising of working capital/cash credit limit for MSEs, Chaudhary said in a written reply in Rajya Sabha today.

    Sir, Measures are really great.This time centre has increased funds to MSME sector.Sir please help these measures reach the beneficiaries most of them remain paper.Kindly look into how to improve ways to reaching out.
