Gujarat MSMEs demand cut in corporate tax

Ahmedabad, Feb 6 (KNN) The date of announcement of Union Budget is coming near, and Industries are waiting for the opening of Pandora Box of Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, but before the Budget they have started to put up their demands. The Gujrat Industries are looking for some cut in the corporate taxes.

Talking to KNN the President of Vatva Industries Association Sachin K Patel said that the Government should cut the corporate taxes adding that should provide fund for the Research and Development.

He also said that Interest subsidy should be increased.

A tax holiday should be given like Start-Up policy for the new entrepreneurs to let them survive in their initial phase, he added.

The companies which have high man power should be provided some fund for the employees to make them survive.

Goods and services Tax (GST) should be passed soon, he demanded.

Gujrat, the home turf of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has always contributed higher in the Gross Domestic Production (GDP) of the country, now the current chief minister of the state Anandiben Patel is taking the legacy of Narendra Modi forward. In this context, she is likely to come up with separate Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) for the industry to resolve the issues pending them.

The Industries association welcomed this move by saying that the Gujarat Government is proactive and we are closely moni c5the Government and its policies.

He said that the Gujrat Government is taking initiatives for the industries and going to the right direction.

Government calls the meeting with industry association every month to look after their problems, added the President.

We have forced them to set up a separate MSME ministry for the Industries to boost the business, he added.

Government is setting up many multi-storey business centres across the states, he said.  (KNN Bureau)
