Indo-Pak MSMEs should start doing biz rather than looking at govts

Manesar, Mar 21 (KNN)  Rather than looking at governments of two countries, MSME entrepreneurs should start doing business with each other so that the two governments are compelled to relax the business restrictions, said Secretary General of Manesar Industries Welfare Association (MIWA), Manmohan Gaind while interacting with the visiting delegation from Pakistan.
 
“Rather than looking at government of two countries, MSME Entrepreneur should start doing business with each other. And once it reaches to a substantial level of business the governments of the two nations will be compelled to relax the business restrictions. Further this will benefit the two nations and also bring peace and harmony among the two nations,” he said.  
 
A delegation from the MSME segment of Pakistan industry made a fact finding and networking visit to MIWA at Manesar.  The event marked an opening of cooperation with Pakistani industry. 
 
Representatives from Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Islamabad Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Pakistan Electric Fans Manufacturer Association, All Pakistan Furniture Makers Association visited Manesar yesterday.
 
During the interaction between the industrialists business prospects among the two nations were shared.
 
Commenting on the occasion, Member from Islamabad Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Asma Rashid said, “When we export our goods to other countries it takes days for the consignment to reach; however, if we start importing and exporting goods from neighbouring countries it would make our countries more independent and economically sound.
 
Chairman, South Asian Association For Regional Cooperation (SAARC) Business Promotion Committee and Member of Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Rahmatulla Javed said, “By actively interacting with industrialist we feel that there are so many business opportunities here. People of Pakistan love India and Indian products, and so is the case with India too; let’s start walking together and we can set an example.”
 
The visitors from Pakistani industry visited some of the factories in IMT Manesar and tried to check if business prospects exist beyond boundaries. (KNN/SD)
