Management development programme on 'getting more at less'

Kolkata, Dec 10 (KNN)   To help entrepreneurs seeking growth to upgrade their management skills, knowledge and networking, Calcutta Business School in association with FOSMI is organising a management development programme on 'getting more at less.'

The two day residential programme will be held at the Calcutta Business School in Bishnupur from December-19 to 20, according to a notice from FOSMI.

The programme is meant for senior managers, middle level managers and executives from public and private sector enterprises and those from the MSME Sector engaged in planning, purchasing, materials management and supply chain management functions.
 
The programme is specially tailored to address the issues of MSME Sector as well, it said.
 
Participation fee for FOSMI members is Rs 4,000 plus service tax per head which includes course material, food and lodging during the programme. 
 
Programme Directors for the event are - Director, Calcutta Business School and Former Head of Vendor Development, Tata Motors, Prof (Dr) Goutam Sengupta; Former Head of Supply Chain Management, Philips India, C R Maitra, and Former Head (Training), Tata Motors, Chandreshwar Khan. 
 
The programme is workshop based and will cover topics such as value and cost, value stream mapping, value engineering, advanced techniques for price monitoring and negotiation; Strategic Vendor Development: Supply market vis a vis buyer market segmentation; Just in Time (JIT) Inventory models; Poka Yoke; Kanban; Kaizen; cost of non-quality; wastes – Muda, Mura, Muri; Total Productive Maintenance (TPM); Single Minute Exchange of Die (SMED); and innovations in MSME Sector.
 
As far as methodology is concerned, there will be a mix of class room lectures, case studies, exercises, group discussion, and sharing of experiences.  (KNN/ES)
