MSMEs in Arunachal Pradesh suffer as govt fails to carry out industrial schemes

Itanagar, Mar 31 (KNN) The Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the North Eastern state of Arunachal Pradesh are disappointed as they continue to face challenges due to state government’s failure in implementing the several industrial schemes.

The Arunachal Pradesh Micro and Small Industries Development Association (APM&SIDA) has accused the state government for neglecting the MSME sector and the industrial schemes which were formulated to boost income in the state.

Lindum Rana, President of APM&SIDA said that the state government had brought a cut of Rs 2 core in the Arunachal Pradesh Industrial & Investment Policy 2020 which was originally proposed at Rs 5 crore.

Rana said that the MSMEs had no issue with the cut down, but however the authorities must implement the capital investment subsidy for the entrepreneurs.

There has been no response from the concerned state industries department to the applications submitted by entrepreneurs, said Rana appealing the Industry Minister to look into the matter.

The association has also urged the government to implement Startup India and MUDRA Scheme; MSME facilitation Council; functionalize the Entrepreneurship Development Institute at Jote and ensure proper implementation of the Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme. (KNN Bureau)
