New Delhi, Dec 26 (KNN) When Prime Minister Narendra Modi takes the brainstorming session on Make in India progress next week in Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi, MSMEs are gearing up to raise issues  that prevent them to set-up and run businesses without hassles.

“The first priority should be alleviating the pains of the existing entrepreneurs for they can be the biggest ambassadors for marketing Make in India initiative to the budding Indian entrepreneurs as well as to the foreigners”, said Federation of Indian Micro and Small & Medium Enterprises (FISME) President D Gandhikumar.

FISME strongly advocates an internet based multi-agency three tier level grievance addressal system running from district to state to centre so that problems are captured and are resolved in a time bound manner.

According to FISME President, “Most of the issues related to industry involves both centre and states but there is no one single agency responsible for their resolution and that is why the buck keeps getting passed from one department to another”.

He expressed his concern over the young generation shunning manufacturing in India as they found it not worth the risk.

He said that without attracting young generation to set-up manufacturing and service enterprises, Make in India could turn out to be a pipe dream.

“Keeping in view of jobless growth in corporate sector during last decade, it is clear that Indian economy cannot absorb 12 million people coming out in job market every year without creating mass scale entrepreneurship”, Gandhikumar added.

FISME has been studying Ease of Doing Business related issues for quite some time and has been a member of high-powered committee set-up under chairmanship of former SEBI Chief, M Damodaran.  (KNN/AB)
