NSCI to award MSMEs for outstanding occupational Safety and Health

New Delhi, May 9 (KNN) The National Safety Council is going to organize NSCI Safety awards 2017. The awards are given to the organizations that have achieved meritorious performance in terms of occupational safety and health to its workers.

The Council has a separate portfolio for the Micro, Medium and Small Enterprise (MSME) for these awards to recognize their effort and to encourage commitment. The aim to constitute a separate portfolio for the MSMEs is to give national recognition to the MSMEs.

There are over 8 awards for the MSMEs under different titles including the Sarvasheshta Suraksha Puraskar, Sheshta Suraksha Puraskar and the Surakhsha Puraskar depending upon the score the MSMEs fetch in the safety and performance evaluation by the NSCI jury.

The Award Scheme also takes into consideration the units that are operating in Manufacturing and Construction sector.

Last date to apply for nominations is May 31st.

National Safety council is the apex organization in the field of occupational safety and health in India and was formed under the Ministry of Labour and Employment in 1966.The Council aims to build a Safe and Healthy environment and to prevent and mitigate loss of life, human suffering and economic losses to the workers in the various sectors of the industry. (KNN/ DA)
