NSIC starts GST helpline for MSMEs

New Delhi, July 13 (KNN) Eyeing at facilitating the transition of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises into the new tax regime, The National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC) recently launched a GST helpline number.

The helpline number 1800111955 dedicated for MSMEs is receiving good response from across the country.

Talking to KNN, Seema, Development officer at the NSIC informed about the progress of the initiative.   On an average the centre receives 30 queries per day. These queries are related to different issues pertaining to the GST including registration information, tax slabs etc.

The helpline by NSIC is set up with the aim to facilitate MSMEs and youth entrepreneurs with the transition into the GST, it would help them do businsses without any disruption due to the change in tax regime.

Arun Kumar Panda, MSME Secretary in a press interview congratulated the NSIC for their initiative.

The helpline is a part of the Corporation’s larger GST information campaign that it launched earlier in various states and industrial towns.

    It is good that NSIC starts GST helpline for MSMEs, but the toll free No. is not accessible, being always answering busy voice for the reasons best known to NSIC. NSIC should put more lines for quick reply to queries of MSMEs at this critical juncture of GST transition.
