Bhubaneswar, Sept 6 (KNN)  Odisha based CSM Technologies which has been endorsed as one of the top 100 emerging SMEs in the country by the MSME Ministry, has bagged an Ethiopian Government Project worth ETB 3.6 million (Ethiopia Birr) on Asset Management.

“CSM has signed a 3.6 Million Br. agreement with the Federal Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission (FEACC), Government of Ethiopia to develop an Asset Disclosure Management System that will enable a collaborative, flexible disclosure process across distributed teams and multiple data sources to facilitate an auditable, compliant workflow,” said an official press release.

The bold project has been funded by the Justice System Improvement Program within the Ministry of Justice (MoJ).

According to the release, a proclamation issued in 2010 has given the Commission a mandate to register the wealth of appointed and elected officials, as well as civil servants. This includes the Prime Minister, all other ministers and state ministers, including their advisors, ambassadors, those working with the defense forces of the country, the governor and deputy governors of the National Bank of Ethiopia, officials within the justice system, the mayors of Addis Ababa, Dire Dawa and all their appointees.

Although the proclamation demands the information to be available for public viewing; the absence of a regulatory system to administer the checks and balances of such a mandate, has not been implemented.

The new software from CSM will help them setup a platform where citizens can view the registered wealth of official, in addition to accommodating new registrants, as also other advantages.

CSM bagged the project as it topped the rounds from a shortlisted pool of six companies.

“The technical evaluation was done by the Minister of Communication and Information Technology whereas the financial evaluation involved the System Improvement Program at the MoJ,” the release said.

CSM (Cybertech Software & Multimedia Pvt. Ltd) has already gone ahead to set up a project office.  (KNN/ES)
