Qatar SME Expo to showcase products of local units

New Delhi, Oct 30 (KNN)  The SME Chamber of India has invited small and medium units to participate in the Qatar SME Expo that would provide a platform for them to showcase their products and services to the Gulf countries.
 
The industrial event is scheduled to be held in the capital city of Doha in Qatar from November 17-19.

Of the event, “It aims to bring innovative leading-edge SMEs of the world to Qatar as exhibitors, wishing to establish their presence and become an active part of the Qatari business community with their state-of-the-art products and technologies for the long-term economic, industrial, social and environmental development of the country,” said an official notification.

It is a part of the Qatar government initiative to transform the country into a regional technology hub, in keeping with the Qatar National Vision 2030, with interest in technological development and commitment to building a knowledge-based economy.

There will also be an SME Business Conference on November-17 that will see the participation of over 300 businessmen from across the Gulf Region who will be keen to establish and promote business and exports to Qatar and other Gulf Countries.

The focus sectors of the expo are steel and metallurgical products, electrical, packaging equipment and machinery, medical and pharma equipment, chemicals and allied products, information and communication technology, food processing equipment, printing and stationery, furniture manufacturing equipment, textile manufacturing equipment, etc.

The expo will provide an ideal opportunity for networking with SMEs from the Gulf and Middle East countries, from where about 10,000 visitors are expected.  Exhibitors can avail of free listing in exhibitors’ directory, free visas and attend the SME business conference free of charge.  (KNN/ES)
