Registration on central & state portal made compulsory for Gurugram MSMEs for exemption from covid-19 restrictions

New Delhi, 15 Jan (KNN) To get permission to function even when more restrictions may be imposed due Covid-19, the MSMEs in the district of Gurugram, Haryana have to register on both the central and state MSME portal.

The industries department, Gurugram launched this initiative wherein it has made mandatory for industrial units operating in the district to register in both the online portals.

Currently, the district has 34,855 units registered with the MSME portal, which, according to officials, are operating normally even as some curbs have been imposed due to the rising Covid 19 cases.

A help desk has also been set up by the department has at the district MSME centre at IDC in Sector 16.

As per official sources, its purpose is to facilitate the registration of new and existing firms.

From the total 34,855 units, Udhyam registration portal of the central government has 33,000 units registered and remaining are registered under Haryana Udhyam portal of the state government.

All the MSMEs would get the subsidies and other aid and assistance from the government only if they are registered on these two portals, said the industries department.

The two portals to get registered are udyamregistration.gov.in and harudhyam.edisha.gov.in.
