Telangana Govt collaborates with GlobalLinker to connect MSMEs with digital platform

Hyderabad, Feb 28 (KNN) With an aim to accelerate financial inclusion of MSMEs in Telangana, the state government collaborated with GlobalLinker and launched a digital networking platform called ‘Telangana State GlobalLinker’.

The platform, besides offering a host of benefits to MSME members such as digitisation, an e-commerce store and access to business efficiency tools would enable Telangana’s MSMEs to connect to a global community of small and large businesses.

In a statement, Principal Secretary, Industries & Commerce Department, Jayesh Ranjan said “Digitisation is going to be one of the game changers for MSME businesses as it helps them cater to customers beyond local boundaries, allows their profit to grow twice as fast and substantially increases their contribution to GDP.”

He stated that Industries Department of Telangana has collaborated with GlobalLinker to create Telangana State GlobalLinker, a digital SME Networking solution to address key challenges faced by MSMEs with the core objective of making the business growth of MSMEs – simpler, more profitable and enjoyable.

This platform will facilitate MSMEs with a digital platform to allow them to create a digital profile for their business, connect with other global MSMEs, enable them to find buyers and suppliers, gain visibility and receive up-to-date industry trends and news.

In addition, Co-founder & CEO, GlobalLinker, Sameer Vakil while stressing on the enabling role of digitisation for MSME’s growth, said "We look forward to assisting over 2.3 million MSME members to transform their business on the strength of our platform.”

Digitisation can truly catalyse growth for MSMEs, as it not only blurs borders but also provides greater access to clients, he added. (KNN/YV)
