Training programmes on solar photo voltaic technology & gold appraisal

New Delhi, Oct 30 (KNN) To equip potential entrepreneurs with new skills, the MSME Ministry through its institutions is organising training programmes on solar photo voltaic (PV) technology and gold appraisal.

The training on solar photo voltaic (PV) technology, organised by the National Institute of Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development (NIESBUD) is scheduled to be held from October 31 to November 2 in the Noida campus.

Students with any diploma or degree are eligible to participate in the three day programme, according to a notification.

The course content will cover topics such as global PV scenario, solar radiation and solar resource assessment, components and design of solar PV systems, solar PV plant layout, project development phases, operation and maintenance, grid integration, national solar mission, policies and incentives, building relationships with suppliers, economics of solar power and case study.

Meanwhile the MSME- Technology Development Centre, Agra is offering a course on gold appraisal from October 31 to November 3 at YWCA, New Delhi.

Participants who enrol in this course will learn about basic metal, conversion karatage, fineness chart, alloying and kartage, gold colours and its alloy composition, colour elements, silver, stones, valuing of gold and stones, hall marking, weight and balances, testing procedures etc.

The four-day training programme is suitable for bank professionals, private financial institutions, jewellers or people involved in the gold business. 

The programme will help participants understand about assaying, evaluation of gold ornaments and determine the electroplated items of silver and other metals and also about stones.

It will provide them platform for exposure to world class practices followed in the industry while adding value to their current career prospects. (KNN/ST)
