World Bank group IFC roped in for building training capacity of MSMEs

NNoida, Feb 5 (KNN) The World Bank group International Finance Corporation (IFC) has been roped in for help in the training capabilities of the MSME sector which needs to catch up in different areas like human resource and technology.
The IFC partnership has been built along with the National Institute of Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development (NIESBUD). Under the joint initiative, the training will be provided to the trainer so that the overall standard of vocational capabilities improves for the sector.
“The training will help the small entrepreneurs in “Enhancing trainers’ competencies so that they are able to more effectively transfer the required skills and knowledge to entrepreneurs and MSMEs in a way that learning can be applied in the workplace to achieve real performance outcomes,” NIESBUD said today.
The programme aims to establish a new standard of excellence and set a benchmark for Entrepreneurship and MSME Training in the Indian market including a process to monitor and measure results and training effectiveness.
The NIESBUD-IFC Trainer Capacity Building Programme has been designed and will be delivered by international experts from both institutions from February 17-20 at the NIESBUD campus in the national capital region.
The programme will be scaled up across India over the next three years.
NIESBUD is an apex body under the Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises for coordinating and overseeing the activities of various institutions/agencies engaged in entrepreneurship development particularly in the area of small industry and small business. (KNN/SD)
