Ahead of elections, CAIT to release a National Charter of Traders

New Delhi, Mar 25 (KNN) As elections are on the horizon, Confederation of All Indian Traders (CAIT) said it would shortly release a National Charter of Traders which would include the core issues of the trading community.

In a statement, traders’ body said that traders across the country would vote for any political party in the upcoming general elections which accepts its charter and provides solutions for their issues.

Speaking at a conference here, CAIT's Secretary General Praveen Khandelwal said: "CAIT will shortly release a National Charter of Traders carrying core issues of the trading community and whichever political party gives a logical roadmap of solutions, the traders will vote for that party as one unit across the country."

CAIT also slammed Congress President Rahul Gandhi’s for his statement made a few days ago that if Congress is voted to power, it will abolish Goods and Services Tax (GST) whereas in fact he don’t have any blue print of any alternate tax structure.

Criticizing Khandelwal said that Gandhi does not have a blueprint for an alternate tax regime and demanded that he speak on the party's plans and programs for the trading community.

He also said that the Congress President should not do any politics "using shoulders of the traders".
