Steel Ministry Invites Industry Stakeholders for Consultation on Import Issues and QCO Exemptions
New Delhi, Jul 3 (KNN) The Ministry of Steel will hold an Open House on July 9, 2026, to address issues related to steel imports, including matters concerning the Steel Import Monitoring System (SIMS), SARAL SIMS and Quality Control Order (QCO) exemptions.
The meeting will take place from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm at the Steel Room, 3rd Floor, GPOA-3, Netaji Nagar, New Delhi. Steel companies and industry associations can present their concerns after obtaining a confirmed time slot.
Participants are required to send their requests by 4:00 pm on July 6 via email, providing details such as the company or association name, industry segment, the nature of the issue, any relevant SIMS, SARAL SIMS or QCO exemption application reference, participant details and contact information.
The Ministry said confirmed time slots will be communicated by email. Only one representative per organisation will be allowed to participate, while walk-in registrations will not be permitted due to logistical constraints.
