New Delhi, Jan 25 (KNN) The instant messaging app Whatsapp said more than 5 million enterprises are using its platform meant for business to interact with their customers globally within a year of launch.

Facebook-owned instant messaging application revealed that some users in India have claimed that more than 30% of their new sales now come through the WhatsApp Business platform.

The Menlo Park, California based entity said to celebrate the first anniversary of WhatsApp Business, it would launch a platform for web and desktop to increase convenience for enterprises.

The platform will allow users to label contacts and chats so that they can be found easily, WhatsApp said in a note shared on Thursday.

It will also allow users to sort chats by unread messages, groups and broadcast lists. These features are expected to attract more enterprises to WhatsApp Business.  These features are expected to attract more enterprises to WhatsApp Business.
