Bharat Tex 2026 To Host Over 3,500 Exhibitors, 7,000 Global Buyers Over 140 Countries: Giriraj Singh
New Delhi, Mar 11 (KNN) Union Textiles Minister Giriraj Singh on Wednesday unveiled Bharat Tex 2026, positioning it as India’s flagship global textile event aimed at strengthening the country’s leadership in the global textile industry.
Addressing industry stakeholders, the minister said the event will serve as a comprehensive platform bringing together the entire textile value chain—from fibre and yarn to fabrics, garments, technical textiles and sustainable innovations.
He noted that the initiative reflects the Prime Minister’s 5F vision—Farm to Fibre to Factory to Fashion to Foreign—and reinforces India’s position as a reliable and sustainable sourcing and investment destination.
Largest Edition Yet
Scheduled from July 14–17, 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, the event is expected to feature over 3,500 exhibitors, 7,000 international buyers from more than 140 countries, and around 1.3 lakh trade visitors.
The exhibition will showcase the full textile ecosystem, including fibres, yarns, fabrics, apparel, home textiles, technical textiles, handicrafts, handlooms and intelligent manufacturing technologies.
Focus on Innovation and MSMEs
Key focus areas include sustainable and circular textiles, technical textiles, MSME participation, innovation and global market access.
The event will offer MSMEs, startups, designers and academia a platform to showcase innovations, connect with global buyers and build strategic partnerships.
It will also highlight government initiatives aimed at boosting investment, trade and the long-term growth of India’s textile sector, including traditional segments such as handlooms.
Global Textile Dialogue
A major feature will be the Global Textile Dialogue, a series of sessions bringing together policymakers and industry leaders to discuss topics such as global trade dynamics, sustainability and ESG standards, Industry 5.0, technical textiles and resilient supply chains.
The event is an industry-led initiative organised by the Bharat Tex Trade Federation, an umbrella body of 11 textile export promotion councils and industry organisations.
