Budget 2019: Financial Sector and Capital Market Representatives want online trade licence for MSMEs

New Delhi, June 14 (KNN) To boost the Indian markets, the representatives of Financial Sector & Capital Markets discussed several suggestions for making available trade license online for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector for infusion of capital in regional banks in the pre-budget meeting which was held by Union Minister of Finance & Corporate Affairs Nirmala Sitharaman.

Major Stakeholders of Financial Sector and Capital Markets were present in the meeting.

The main areas of discussion during the meeting included issues relating to the capital markets, financial sector, Non-Banking Financial Companies (NBFCs) and Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs) among others.

During the discussion the representatives present in the meeting said that they need to distinguish between solvency, governance & liquidity issues and review Non-performing asset (NPAs) provisions through setting-up a Committee

Also need to enhance financial literacy programs and funding, incentivizing agricultural marketing and setting-up of Debt Exchange Traded Fund was brought up with the Finance Minister.

They also discussed to ease liquidity pressures created due to insolvency, rationalization of various taxes like Security Transaction Tax (STT) in capital market.
