CAIT hails govt’s decision to create department of internal trade

New Delhi, Jan 31 (KNN) The domestic traders' body, Confederation of All India Traders Association (CAIT) has hailed government's move to create department of internal trade.

CAIT said “Since past 10 years we had been demanding for the Ministry of Internal Trade and with the creation of the Department for Internal Trade, the way is paved for creation of a Ministry.”

The government on Wednesday renamed the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP) as the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT).

It said that the decision to bring retail trade under DIPP will bring retail trade in mainstream of the economy.

Traders across Country are pleased with the move. It’s a step which will bring retail trade in mainstream of the economy, it added.

CAIT also complimented Prime Minister Narendra Modi for taking such a path breaking step which will ensure structured and systematic growth of internal trade in the Country.
