DRDO invites startups, individuals for innovation contest

New Delhi, Feb 18 (KNN) Aiming to encourage startups and individuals to come up with innovative defence and aerospace technologies, the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has invited entries from across the country for its ‘Dare to Dream’ contest.

Applicants are invited in 2 categories i.e. as an individual or a startup to send innovative, workable proposals that can impact various related domains.

The winning entries, which should specify the plan of executing it into a prototype, stand to get one of five prizes ranging from ₹3 lakh to ₹10 lakh in two categories.

As an eligibility for the contest, start-ups must be controlled by Indians and recognized by DIPP can apply.

DRDO has asked for solutions in the areas of research that includes Artificial Intelligence, autonomous system, cyber security, hypersonic technologies, quantum computing, smart material, soldier as a system and Tera Hz Communication.

The application process has begun already and the last date to apply is February 28, 2019

DRDO is the premier research & development organization of the country that works under Department of Defence Research and Development of Ministry of Defence. It works on various areas of military technology to qualitatively address needs of Indian defense system.
