DVET ropes in industry body to get employers to recruit industry ready candidates during job fair organized by PBSSD

New Delhi, Oct 12 (KNN) The Directorate of Vocational Education & Training, Kolkata has sought industry body FOSMI's help to get more employers to recruit industry ready candidates during job fair organized by Paschim Banga Society for Skill Development (PBSSD) on 26th and 27th November 2018.

In a letter requesting FOSMI to provide recruitment assistance during job fair, DVET said “This job fair is envisaged to bring all stakeholders, such as Industry, Academia, Candidates, Industry bodies etc under single umbrella and it is desired that FOSMI to leverage its industry connect and to arrange potential employers who would offer employment to at least 250 candidates across job roles over the two days fair.”

With an aim to connect potential employers to the skilled candidates to enhance the employment opportunities, this state level job fair will also create awareness among the various stakeholders about the skill development interventions by PBSSD.

During the 2 day job fair, around 10,000 participants are expected to participate on each day.

This state level job fair will act as an employment strategy which will fast tract the meeting of job seekers to the prospective employers.

Candidates trained under the ambit of Utkarsh Banga, employers from various sectors such as automotive, agriculture, IT/ITeS, retail, tourism, hospitality, Various chambers of commerce, training providers across the state, other departments and corporations, Ministries of Government of India and central agencies such as NSDC,NIRD,& PR, SSCs etc can participate in this job fair.
