Over Rs 20,000 Cr To Be Invested in Energy Storage, EV & Green Hydrogen At IESW 2024

New Delhi, Jun 27 (KNN) The upcoming India Energy Storage Week (IESW) 2024, scheduled for July 1-5 in New Delhi, is poised to be a landmark event for the country's energy sector.

The India Energy Storage Alliance (IESA) has announced that investment commitments exceeding Rs 2,000 crore are expected in the energy storage, electric vehicle, and green hydrogen sectors during the event.

VFlowTech is set to make a significant impact by launching India's largest long-duration energy storage manufacturing facility in Haryana. The facility will boast an initial capacity of 100 MWh, marking a major step forward in the country's energy storage capabilities.

In a move to boost domestic production, Nash Energy will showcase its indigenously produced Li-Ion battery cells at the event. The company's 600 MWh plant in Karnataka is scheduled to begin production next month, further strengthening India's position in the battery manufacturing sector.

BatX Energies is gearing up to unveil its new battery recycling and materials extraction facility. This cutting-edge plant will have the capacity to process 2,500 metric tons of battery materials annually, contributing to a more sustainable and circular economy in the energy sector.

Lohum is set to make waves with its announcement to enter next-generation 'Manganese-rich' Lithium-ion battery technology manufacturing.

Adding to the list of major announcements, Bharat Cell by Khusmanda Power will reveal plans for a 2 GWh BESS system manufacturing facility. This development is expected to significantly boost India's energy storage manufacturing capabilities.

The event is expected to host over 150 key partners and exhibitors, with more than 1,000 companies participating. Multiple new factory and Gigafactory announcements are anticipated, aligning with India's mission to become a global manufacturing hub.

IESW 2024 will also serve as a platform for new product launches, including innovative energy storage solutions and green hydrogen technologies. The event is set to foster partnerships, with at least five Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) expected to be signed, including one between IESA and Powering Australia.
