Govt to constitute task force to resolve banking related issues of exporters

New Delhi, June 13 (KNN) Government is considering constituting a Joint Task Force of Department of Commerce and Department of Financial Services to resolve banking related issues of the exporters.

A meeting was conducted by the Department of Financial Services in the national capital yesterday to discuss the issues faced by exporters with regards to banking.

Commerce Secretary Rita Teaotia and Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) AK Bhalla were present in the meeting.

In a tweet, DGFT said, “Commerce Secretary & DGFT discussed banking related issues of the exporters in a meeting organized by the Department of Financial Services.”

It was decided to constitute a Joint Task Force of Department of Commerce and DFS to resolve banking related issues of the exporters, DGFT informed.

Exporters have time and again raised various issues faced by them with regards to banking. This not only leads to increase in transaction time but also increases costs for them. (KNN Bureau)
