Loans worth Rs 196.61 cr sanctioned to MSMEs in Nagpur

Nagpur, Feb 13 (KNN) Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Nagpur were sanctioned loans worth Rs 196.61 crore under the Prime Minister’s MSME Outreach Programme.

This was disclosed at a review meeting organized at District Collector office on completion of 100 days of Prime Minister MSME Outreach Programme in Nagpur district. A mega loan camp was also organized by Bank of India on the concluding day.

During 100 days, all the leading banks in the Nagpur districts and Government departments organized 32 camps to distribute loan and create awareness among the MSMEs.

Speaking on the occasion, President of Dalit Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DICCI)-Nagpur Chapter, Nischchay Shelke said, “On November 2, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had selected 80 districts in the country for the Outreach Programme. Nagpur district was one of them. It had done commendable job in implementing the scheme. The scheme helped in creating awareness about giving subsidy to startups and loan schemes designed by the Government especially for the MSMEs.”

He said that the scheme provided a single platform where Government departments and banks worked in tandem. Banks reached to the doorsteps of the MSMEs to provide financial aid. This would definitely create huge employment to the jobless people.
