NSIC to hold 30th Industrial India Trade Fair, participation from Turkey-Thailand expected

New Delhi, Dec 20 (KNN) Eyeing at facilitating connect between the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and other stakeholders of the economy, the NSIC along with Bengal National Chamber of Commerce and Industry and DC (Handicrafts) is organizing 30th Edition of Industrial India Trade Fair.

The event is scheduled to kick off from December 22 and is to continue till early January at the Park Circus Maidan in Kolkata.

With the city of Kolkata recognized as the natural gateway to South East Asia and other SAARC nations including Bangladesh, Nepal and Bhutan, the event is expected to facilitate business along the lines.

The fair is also to feature handicrafts made by artisans and craftsmen in an attempt to facilitate the market-craftsmen connect.

Also as a part of the initiatives for the MSME sector, the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) a session under the theme 'Making a Roadmap for Technical Education and Skill Development in MSME Sector' will be held on December 26, 2017 for the artisans.

Also the NSIC and BNCCI will be undertaking an event under the SC-ST hub scheme of the government on December 23rd in an attempt to offer professional support to the MSME entrepreneurs.

For now, the organizers are expecting countries including Bangladesh, Egypt, Turkey and Thailand to be involved in the event. (KNN/ DA)
