Premier Energies Relocates Solar PV Cell Facility to Andhra Pradesh

Hyderabad, Mar 6 (KNN) Premier Energies Ltd has announced a strategic shift in its manufacturing operations to enhance efficiency through backward integration.

The company will now co-locate its silicon ingot and wafer manufacturing facility with its solar photovoltaic (PV) cell production.

As part of this strategy, the company has decided to relocate its planned 4 GW Solar PV TOPCon Cell manufacturing line from its originally proposed site at the Industrial Park, Seetharampur, Ranga Reddy District, Telangana, to a new location in the Industrial Park, Naidupeta Village, Nellore District, Andhra Pradesh.

The change aims to streamline production by integrating key supply chain components in a single location, improving operational synergy and cost efficiency.

However, the company clarified that the 4 GW Solar PV TOPCon Module line will continue at its previously disclosed location in Telangana, as per the initial Prospectus.

In a filing with the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and National Stock Exchange (NSE), Premier Energies reaffirmed its commitment to expanding its manufacturing capacity while ensuring strategic alignment with market demands.

This move underscores the company’s focus on self-sufficiency in solar cell production, reducing dependence on external suppliers for critical components.

The new facility in Andhra Pradesh is expected to boost India's renewable energy ecosystem by strengthening the domestic solar supply chain.

With increasing demand for high-efficiency solar modules, Premier Energies' decision aligns with India's ambitious renewable energy goals, further reinforcing the country’s position as a global solar manufacturing hub.
