Giriraj Singh Inaugurates Bharat Tex 2025 Showcasing India's Textile Prowess
New Delhi, Feb 15 (KNN) Union Minister of Textiles Giriraj Singh made an inaugural visit to Bharat Tex 2025 at New Delhi's Bharat Mandapam today, marking the opening of what organisers call one of the world's largest textile exhibitions.
The four-day main event, running from February 14-17, represents a coordinated effort by twelve Textile Export Promotion Councils with support from the Ministry of Textiles.
The exposition has drawn over 5,000 exhibitors and representatives from more than 120 countries, establishing itself as a comprehensive showcase of India's textile capabilities.
Parallel exhibitions featuring accessories, machinery, dyes, and handicrafts are being conducted at the India Expo Centre in Greater Noida from February 12-15.
Centered on the themes of resilient global value chains and textile sustainability, Bharat Tex 2025 encompasses the complete textile spectrum from raw materials to finished products.
The event's agenda includes a global trade fair, conference sessions, CEO roundtables, and strategic business meetings aimed at fostering international partnerships and investment opportunities.
More than 70 conference sessions are scheduled, bringing together international experts, industry leaders, and policymakers to discuss crucial developments in global trade, technical textiles, AI-driven manufacturing, and sustainable fashion practices.
The exhibition serves as a platform for implementing India's 5F vision, connecting Farm to Fiber, Fabric, Fashion, and Foreign Markets.
The event combines traditional craftsmanship with modern innovation through fashion shows, trend forecasts, and product launches, while cultural performances celebrate India's textile heritage.
As a cornerstone of the global textile industry's evolution, Bharat Tex 2025 aims to shape future trends and advance sustainable practices in the sector.
