There is an urgent requirement to pay attention to the need for well managed clusters: Chairman, FMC

New Delhi, Feb 7 (KNN) To promote clusters across India, there is an urgent requirement to pay attention to the need for well managed clusters, said Arun Maira, Chairman, Foundation for MSME Clusters.

Maira, who was earlier a member of the Planning Commission, said this while talking to KNN India on the sidelines of, ‘Cluster Conclave and 5th Responsible BMO Award: Innovate to lead’.

The event was jointly organized in the national capital by FMC and GIZ.

Maira said, “We are showcasing the benefits of good managed clusters and how the enterprises and members of these clusters are getting better income and also more employment and economic sustainability is being generated.”

On asking him about the participation of government in promotion of clusters, he said that government is now focusing on the formation of soft side of the cluster; previously the entire energy was on building the roads of the cluster or hard infrastructure of the cluster.

“Government is helping the enterprises to also engage with the system outside which are the big buyers and banks, with the unified agenda,” he added. (KNN Bureau)
