14,000 Retailers Skilled In Odisha Under Super Power Retailer Program by Coca-Cola & NSDC

New Delhi, Jul 2 (KNN) In a significant move to reshape the retail landscape in Odisha, Coca-Cola India and the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) have made substantial progress with their Super Power Retailer Program.

Launched just seven months ago, the initiative has already empowered over 14,000 retailers, including women, showcasing a rapid and impactful implementation.

It offers industry-specific skills tailored to retailers' professional needs, including customer management, inventory and stock management, and financial management.

Ved Mani Tiwari, CEO of NSDC and MD of NSDC International, emphasised the importance of upskilling retailers in the face of rapidly evolving technology integration in the retail sector.

He expressed confidence that the partnership with Coca-Cola India will play a crucial role in equipping beneficiaries with the knowledge needed to expand their businesses and enhance consumer experiences.

The program's delivery combines classroom training sessions in Odisha with an online certification program across India. Notably, the training is conducted in the local language, enabling both small shopkeepers and larger businesses to expand their reach and adapt to changing market trends.

Irene Tan, Vice President of Human Resources at Coca-Cola India & Southwest Asia, highlighted the company's commitment to creating an enabling environment for retailers. She emphasised that the Super Power Retailer program exemplifies Coca-Cola's dedication to positively impacting societies.

The initiative's success in attracting women participants demonstrates Coca-Cola India's commitment to fostering gender diversity and boosting employment prospects in the retail sector.

The program, inaugurated by Dharmendra Pradhan, Union Minister for Education and former Minister for Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, on October 15, 2023, aims to bring positive transformation to the state's retail community.

This partnership between a major multinational corporation and a government skill development agency represents a significant step in enhancing India's retail ecosystem.
