J&K govt orders reconstitution of BoDs of SICOP, SIDCO

New Delhi, Mar 30 (KNN) In a significant move, Jammu and Kashmir government has ordered for the re-constitution of Board of Directors (BoDs) of Jammu and Kashmir Small Scale Industries Development Corporation Limited (SICOP) and State Industrial Development Corporation Limited (SIDCO).

Its advisor Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar will be appointed as the chairman of both the corporations. 

In an order issued by the Department of Industries and Commerce, sanction was accorded in terms of article 75 & 76 of the articles of association (AoA) for the composition of committee based on nine members of which eight are directors for SICOP.

Meanwhile in a separate order, Department of Industries and Commerce also ordered the reconstitution of BoDs of Jammu & Kashmir State Industrial Development Corporation (SIDCO) Limited, appointing advisor Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar as the chairman of seven member committee. 

Notably, the government earlier this month in an order, nominated Rajiv Rai Bhatnagar, Advisor to Lt Governor, as Chairman of the Board of Directors of five PSUs and Corporations. They included (SIDCO), SICOP, Handicrafts and Handloom Development Corporation Limited, and Jammu and Kashmir Cements Limited (JKCL) besides Jammu and Kashmir Industries Limited (JKIL).

Advisor Bhatnagar, holds portfolios of Health & Medical Education, School Education and Higher Education, Public Works (R&B), Jal Shakti, Revenue, Skill Development Transport, Animal/ Sheep Husbandry and Fisheries. (KNN Bureau)
